About us

Two circles, one ritual.

We're Adina & Charis. Behind every blend stand the farmers of Sri Lanka who grow, pick and sun-dry the spices by hand. Together, we bring their craft to your cup.

Our story

From a beach in Valencia to the hills of Sri Lanka

    Where it began

We met on a beach in Valencia: Adina, an Ayurveda coach, and Charis, a chef and spice importer. One conversation about spices turned into hours, and a friendship was born.

  2. Spices, shared

    Spices, shared

Not long after, we hosted our first workshop. Food and Ayurveda at one table, and the joy of showing people what good spices can do for their day.

    Meeting the farmers

Charis travelled to Sri Lanka to visit spice farmers and found Vedda: Ayurvedic tea blends for the female cycle and for digestion. Great product, great sourcing. Adina fell for it too.

    Growing together

A small range and a head full of ideas. More finds for the shop, more gatherings offline and more ways to bring spices into your daily life.

The hands behind every blend

Meet the farmers

Before a blend reaches your cup, it passes through many hands. Most of them belong to the farmers of Sri Lanka who know these plants by heart. Their craft is the reason your ritual tastes the way it does.

Sri Lanka · Picking

Grown by small farmers

We buy from small farms and villages across Sri Lanka: ginger from the south-east, cinnamon from Ahangama in the south and ashwagandha from near Anuradhapura in the north. Many of the farmers learn to grow without chemicals. We buy directly from them, with no middlemen, and we pay a fair price.

Sri Lanka · Plant wisdom

Knowledge from our farmers

Picked by people with experience. Some wild plants look almost the same. In the village of Swasthipura, people have collected these plants for many years. They can tell them apart, so we get the right plant.

Sri Lanka · Drying

Dried and ground nearby

After the harvest, the plants go to a small factory in Buttala. Local people dry them and grind them into powder. The work and the money stays in the area.

How we work

Our principles

For us, running a business is a way of making a positive impact

01

Ethical sourcing

We buy from farmers or companies that work in close relationship with their farmers and who understand that treating the farmer right is the most important factor for a good, healthy product.

02

Crafted with care

No mass production, no generic recipes. Our products are made in small batches by people who care. Designed to add something beneficial to your life.

03

Guided by Ayurvedic principles

Tea and spices play a huge role in the Ayurvedic lifestyle. The Vedda teas are designed by Wedakama: the traditional Sri Lankan system of medicine that predates even Ayurveda. A profound knowledge of healing plants, passed down through oral tradition.

04

Taste as a core principle

Yes, good things have to taste good as well. Even if it's super healthy: if the taste isn't great, we won't stock it.
