A cooling, nourishing tea for the days before your period.

In Ayurveda, the days before your period are a time when heat can build up in the body, so it's a good moment to slow down. This blend follows that idea. It uses cooling herbs that are traditionally used to help you feel calmer and more balanced.

The intention: a cup that makes the days before your period a bit easier, and your evenings a bit quieter.

Made in Sri Lanka by VEDDA. Ethically sourced. Small-batch production. 100% natural. Traditional methods.

A tea for the days you want to slow down

What is the Root blend?

Some time after ovulation, the light in your day changes. Your energy pulls back. What felt manageable last week now feels like too much, and the noise of the world feels closer than it should.

The Root blend is made for this phase. It uses cooling herbs that are traditionally used in Ayurveda to calm heat in the body and mind. The idea is simple: to help the days before your period feel lighter, and your evenings more peaceful and steady.

Why this blend?

The luteal phase starts after ovulation and lasts until the first day of your next period. In a 28-day cycle, that's about day 15 to day 28. You can think of it as the autumn of your cycle.

At the start of this phase, you may feel focused and fully yourself. Towards the end, things change. Your hormone levels drop, everything can feel louder, you may cry more easily, and you have less patience for people and things that drain your energy.

This is all normal. It's part of your cycle.

This tea is made for the days when you want things to feel quieter. It uses cooling herbs that are traditionally used in Ayurveda to help you feel lighter, and to cool the body during this phase.

Why these ingredients?
  • Iramusu (Indian sarsaparilla)
One of the oldest cooling herbs in Ayurveda. It is traditionally used to cool the body and calm heat, especially in times of change. It has a soft, earthy taste.
  • Hathawariya root (Shatavari)
One of the most valued herbs for women in Ayurveda, used for centuries to support women through every stage of life. Its name is often translated as "she who has a hundred husbands." We added it for the second half of your cycle, the days before your period.
  • White sandalwood
Sacred in Ayurveda and in ritual. It has a light, woody scent and is cooling by nature.
When to reach for it
  • In the evening, during the two weeks before your period, and especially in the last week. This part of your cycle is called the luteal phase. A cup of tea is a calm way to end the day.
  • On mornings when you already feel heavy or tired, and you know you'll need to take it slow.
  • Before bed, after a busy day, when your body and mind still need time to slow down.
  • Any time things feel like too much, even if you don't track your cycle. Your body will tell you when.

Slow down

A cup of our Root blend is a moment to slow down

Ayurveda stands for taking care of yourself. Ayurveda translates from Sanskrit as the "science of life". The female cycle contains processes that happen naturally in your body and that you can support. Flow with it, don't fight it.

  • Bring softness in your day

The second half of your cycle brings a specific kind of clarity. You see more. You feel more. You are less patient with what isn't real. This tea is a small ritual for the days that clarity feels heavier than usual.

  • Grounding when you feel out of balance

The last few days before your period can feel like standing on ice. Root is a plant-based version of putting your feet back on soil.

  • A signal to your nervous system

Ten warm minutes, both hands on a cup, no screen, no scroll, no noice. A gift to your nervous system.
